Robert M. McDermott

Robert McDermott practices in the areas of U.S. patent prosecution practice and procedure. He has written patent applications in a wide range of areas, including image processing and image database retrieval; cable and wireless communications systems; integrated circuit design and control systems; security and camera systems; data processing and search techniques; financial systems; computer and Internet user interface; lighting and lamp designs; watch designs; and plumbing fixtures. Before embarking on a legal career, Mr. McDermott worked as a software engineer and corporate executive in the technology sector, was a Captain in the U.S. Army, and worked at the National Security Agency (NSA).

Honors, Articles, and Speaking Engagements

Mr. McDermott has published and presented numerous technical papers at Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and ICCC Computer Society conferences, and published a book on Computer Aided Logic Design.
